These terms govern your use of NewsParlour (newsparlour.ng). By visiting the site or creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use NewsParlour.
NewsParlour is a headline aggregator. We pull headlines and short excerpts from Nigerian and international news publishers via their public RSS feeds, group duplicate coverage of the same story, and organize everything by category. We don't write, republish, or rewrite the underlying articles — every headline links straight back to the original publisher's own site, and the full article, images, and reporting remain the property of that publisher.
You don't need an account to read NewsParlour. Creating one (via email/password or Google Sign-In) lets you save category preferences. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for anything that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us immediately.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and must be old enough to legally consent to these terms in your country of residence.
When using NewsParlour, you agree not to:
Headlines, excerpts, and images displayed on NewsParlour originate from third-party publishers we don't control. We make a good-faith effort to categorize and present them accurately, but we don't verify, endorse, or take responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or opinions expressed in third-party reporting. Always treat the original publisher, not NewsParlour, as the source of record for any story.
The NewsParlour name, logo, and the site's own design, code, and organization are our property. Headlines, excerpts, images, and articles linked from NewsParlour remain the property of their respective publishers.
If you're a publisher and believe your content is being used on NewsParlour in a way that infringes your rights, contact us and we'll address it promptly — including removing your feed from aggregation if you request it.
NewsParlour is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every headline will be perfectly categorized — automated classification occasionally gets things wrong, and we fix issues as we find them, but we can't promise perfection.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NewsParlour and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, or from content on any third-party site you reach through a NewsParlour link.
You may stop using NewsParlour or delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms, without prior notice.
We may update these terms or the site's features as NewsParlour grows. Material changes to these terms will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
